Research

Coeliac New Zealand is supportive of funding research into coeliac disease. We work closely with the Coeliac Research Fund which covers Australasia and is based in Australia.

We need more regular funding to move us nearer to better treatment and even a cure, as well as to raise awareness. Please make a DONATION.

Coeliac Research Fund

The Coeliac Research Fund was founded to make a difference - to change the lives of those with coeliac disease, both diagnosed and undiagnosed.  The Coeliac Research Fund grew out of the ANZCRF and was incorporated in 2008.  Its key focuses are AWARENESS – DIAGNOSIS – RESEARCH.  The organisation compliments the work of the member-based coeliac societies which focus on assisting those with coeliac disease manage their lifestyle.  CRF is liaises closely with patient advocacy and health professional groups, disseminating best evidence-based clinical practice guidelines for coeliac disease through its Clinical Advisory Committee. This Committee comprises leading gastroenterologists, paediatricians, researchers, dietitians and pharmacologists.  The CRF ensures that research into coeliac disease is resourced by funding innovative projects focused on patient outcomes.
