University Support Groups

Calling Uni Students!

We know that adjusting to university life or moving to a new city can be difficult especially when you're on a strict gluten free diet and have to start fending for yourself. No longer under the watchful eye of your parents, it's easy to give in to peer pressure and temptation, fall off the gluten free wagon and then have to deal with the consequences.

That's why we want to start a support group initiative at each university campus nationwide where students can connect to help each other adapt to living an independent gluten free life. Students will be able to know which local cafe or restaurant serves safe gluten free food, where to buy affordable gluten free products and have a support network of like-minded people. It's also a great way to meet new friends.

We want to find students who can help us launch these groups! If this is something you'd like to be involved in or simply want to be notified when a group is started at your uni, get in touch by emailing marketing@coeliac.org.nz.
